Range Report: Track your Range Sessions

The Range Report section gives you one place to record the details from each trip to the range. Start with the date and range, then add a separate target record for each target or shooting setup you used.

Each target record can include the firearm, ammunition, magazine, accessories, rounds fired, target photo, distance, conditions, notes, and any malfunctions.

Automatic Rounds Tracking

When you log a Range Report and everything updates automatically:

  1. Ammo Updated: The rounds fired are subtracted from the selected ammunition so your available round count stays current.
  2. Rounds & Malfunctions Added: Round counts and malfunctions are recorded for the firearm, ammo, magazine, and accessory you used.
  3. Maintenance Updated: The firearm’s cleaning interval is updated. If the firearm reaches its cleaning interval, it is automatically added to the Maintenance Queue.

The Range Report is connected to the firearms, ammunition, magazines, and accessories used during the session.

How to add a Range Report:

In the Range Report Section, tap the ‘+’ button (top right) to add a new Range Report.

Add Range Session Details

When adding a Range Report, you can add as many details as you want – the only required fields are the date and range details.

You can also add:

  • Category
  • Amount spent
  • Range notes

After adding the range details, tap ‘+ Add First Target’ to add your target details.

You can add one target photo per record and you can add as many records/targets to each Range Report as you want.

Add Target

A Range Report can contain multiple target records. This allows you to document different targets and shooting setups from the same range session.
When adding Target details, you can add as many details as you want, starting with:

Shooting setup:

Select the Ammo, Firearms, Magazines, Accessories you used.

After selecting the ammo, enter the number of rounds fired. Those rounds will be deducted from the selected ammo when the Range Report is saved.

If a firearm, ammo, or accessory is not already in your inventory—such as an item borrowed from someone else – tap Enter Manually and type the details instead.

Target Info:

Add the following information about the target:

  • One target photo
  • Distance from the target
  • Notes about the target

You can add one photo to each target record. To include multiple target photos, create a separate target record for each one.

Conditions:

Record the conditions during that part of the range session:

  • Time of day
  • Weather details
  • Wind speed

These fields are optional and can be left blank when they are not needed.

Malfunctions:

Enter the number of malfunctions and add notes describing what happened. The malfunction information remains connected to the firearm, ammunition, magazine, and accessories selected for that target.

When you have finished entering the target details, tap Save in the upper-right corner.

Add More Targets

After saving the first target, you can add as many additional targets as needed to the same Range Report.

When adding another target, tap Use Last Target Setup to copy the firearm, ammunition, magazine, and accessory selections from the previous target. Target-specific details—including rounds fired, distance, conditions, malfunctions, notes, and the target photo—are not copied.

This is useful when you use the same shooting setup for several targets and do not want to select the same items repeatedly.

After adding all of your targets, tap Save in the upper-right corner of the Add Range Report screen.

Review Your Range Activity

Open a saved Range Report to see the total rounds fired, total malfunctions, range details, notes, and every target connected to that session.

The Range Dashboard also uses your saved reports to show:

  • Total amount spent
  • Number of range sessions
  • Total rounds fired
  • Average rounds per session
  • Range activity over time
  • Round-count breakdowns

You can also compare firearms or ammunition by rounds, sessions, reliability, and last-fired date from the Compare Range Data tool.
